Walter P. Chrysler Museum Gift Shop features original art, limited prints

Original Chrysler Design Office artwork as well as limited-edition signed prints, are among a host of items available at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum Gift Shop for automotive enthusiasts interested in a bit of their own Inspired Chrysler Design.

The Gift Shop is featuring the specially created souvenirs and collectibles to commemorate Inspired Chrysler Design: The Art of Driving, a special exhibition celebrating eight decades of extraordinary Chrysler design and engineering. The exhibit, which heralds the introduction of the 2005 Chrysler 300, runs through Sept. 19.

Dozens of original illustrations by Chrysler designers, offering a rare glimpse into the creative process that has shaped Chrysler vehicles for decades, are available exclusively through the Museum's Gift Shop. Professionally matted in sizes up to 40" x 22", the artwork features a range of automotive perspectives from general exterior drawings to more detailed interior images.

A limited number of signed prints highlighting the Nassau, created by retired Chrysler designer Robert Hubbach, are also available exclusively through the Gift Shop. The Nassau, neither a concept nor pre-production model, was born of a Chrysler design exercise in 2000 and became a working model for Chrysler Group engineers and designers in developing what is now the 2005 Chrysler 300. The 20" x 24" full-color prints are autographed by Hubbach.

Automotive enthusiasts will also admire the Walter P. Chrysler Museum Gift Shop's assortment of diecast models in 1/18, 1/32 and 1/48 scale ($10.95 - $79.95). The collection includes such Chrysler classics and concepts as the 300, Airflow, Atlantic, Crossfire, Hemi® (radio-controlled), Imperial, LeBaron, PT Cruiser, Town & Country and Turbine.

Well-read auto buffs can escape into more than a dozen paperback and hardcover books ($14.95 and up) spotlighting Chrysler brand vehicles as well as the automaker's heritage.

The Gift Shop also carries a variety of upscale apparel, gifts and accessories (up to $75) commemorating the Art of Driving exhibition. The exclusive selection includes a rich, leather business card holder and pocket notebook; a handsomely engraved, teak wood box complete with a golf-theme pen, key tag and money clip set; a wine tote; a clock and a CD/alarm/stereo system. The shop also features a host of souvenirs.
