Tour Details
Revel in autumn’s splendor with the Acorn Tour, a scenic excursion exclusively for auto enthusiasts with vehicles of any make built before 1956. This year’s route features stops at:

• the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills
• Westview Orchards & Cider Mill in Romeo
• Cherry Creek Golf Club in Shelby Township
• Octagon House in Washington

The Acorn Tour gets rolling at the Walter P. Chrysler Museum. Enjoy a continental breakfast while strolling the Museum’s three stories featuring vehicles bearing the Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, Jeep®, DeSoto, Nash, Hudson, Rambler and Willys marques.

Take in interactive displays, historical exhibits and short movies celebrating the American heritage of Chrysler. Explore the Museum’s special exhibition, Hot Rods & Cool Mods, featuring nearly two dozen exquisitely crafted, exotic vehicles that showcase the past, present and future of the customization hobby.

Depart the Museum for a leisurely drive along colorful, paved roadways to Romeo and points beyond. Stroll through Westview Orchards & Cider Mill featuring state-of-the-art cider mill tours, tractor-driven wagon rides, a farm market, bakery and more. Pick a pumpkin or apples from the 188-acre sesquicentennial family farm’s sprawling orchards.

Travel on to the award-winning Cherry Creek Golf Club for a sumptuous luncheon buffet overlooking gently rolling terrain dotted with trees in their seasonal glory.

Continue on for a guided tour of the Octagon House, built in 1860. Recognized as a State of Michigan Historic Site and included in the National Register of Historic Places, Octagon House is among less than 500 such rare, romantic, Victorian-era homes across the nation.

Circle back to the Walter P. Chrysler Museum for coffee and desserts in the Museum’s movie theater . . . enjoying entertaining archival film clips.

Convenient parking is available at all Acorn Tour stops and a suggested route of paved roads between destinations will be provided. Tour participants are welcome to travel in a caravan or solo, according to preference.
